# Assets precompile require redis

Yes, the bootstrap process needs to connects to both PostgreSQL and Redis. That is not a problem for instances running under a supported install following [Discourse official Standard Installation](https://meta.discourse.org/t/discourse-official-standard-installation/142537).

The third-party Bitnami images aren’t supported by the Discourse team, and we have no involvement with those.
