Attachments from Apple Mail

Cannot send attachments from Apple Email account. Same account can include same photo using web site. Attachments from a Gmail account work fine. The extension (.png) is enabled in the settings. Running 2.2.0 beta6.

Do you mean using the Mac OS X Mail application? I’m unclear what is being stated here. Try replying to this via email.

Yes, the problem is with OS X Mail app. I can send and receive email with our Discourse fine. The problem is sending email attachments to Discourse. The email shows up with no attachment and any text after the attachment is also removed.

I can send attachments to our Discourse fine using my Gmail account. The OS X account is an admin account. Would that make a difference?

To clarify, are you talking about in-line images embedded in an HTML message?

Yes, images in an html messages.

Ok I don’t have any macs to test on, so I have no idea. Seems to work fine in the iOS mail app.

Send a reply to this topic via email with an image embedded inline so that we can look at the raw message.

Ok, thanks. I’ll do that. I just created a new account using the same Mac ID that is not sending attachments to our Discourse. As soon as I get an email notice I will reply with an attachment.

ok, hopefully this triggers it.

So far I’ve not received an email notification. Maybe this post will trigger that. @wd6awp

This worked. Here is a reply by email with a picture attached.

Maybe he’s going to reply from the other account when it receives the notification?
