Audio and video onebox with the Samsung "Internet for Android" browser

I’m not able to get audio or video file uploads to onebox when I’m using the Android web browser on my phone. The spinner stays stuck at ‘Uploading 100%’. This is happening both on my site and on meta. On my site I know the files are being uploaded.

Using the same phone with the Chrome or Firefox browser, everything works as it should. It also works as it should in my local development environment, using the Android browser.

Does anyone have an idea what might be going on with this?

What version of Android and what version of Chrome is the “unbranded” default browser? It will correlate exactly to a Chrome release, usually a very old one.

Android 5.0.2

The phone is a Galaxy A5. The browser version is 3.3.38.143

That doesn’t map to any version of Chromium. Can you post a screenshot of the full version info from the built in Android Browser?

Hard to tell what’s up with “Samsung Internet App”, but it looks like there is a version 4.0 as of March 2016:

The Play Store update is available for Samsung devices running Android 5.0 and up starting today [March 28th, 2016].

I suggest updating that?
