# Auth0 Associated Accounts - how to connect existing account?

We installed Auth0. Now, we want to know how existing users (that signed up to our discourse instance with email/pw) can connect to Auth0. We expected there to be an option for this in user preferences \> “Associated Accounts”. But nope..

The larger use-case is this:

1. User registers with our webapp (manual email/pw or via Auth0).
2. New user is created in discourse via discourse API.
3. User is sent username/pw & url to log into discourse.
4. Once logged in, user can optionally connect their account to Auth0 for SSO between our webapp and discourse.

Please advise..
