# Auto-reply in a category

Hello,

I would like to know if it was possible to set up an automatic reply for a category. For example, if a user create new topic in the “bug” category, I wish that the system or another predefined user sends an automatic response “Your request has been taken into account,” or something like that. Is it possible ?

No, there isn’t nothing like this. Also, I think this would just create noise in the post stream.

Why do you think this would be useful? Is it common on other software?

If you have mail-in enabled, you could set up an account that just has gmail watch for new topics and reply to them with a filter.
