# 마지막 게시글 삭제 시 주제 날짜 자동 초기화

주제에서 마지막 게시물을 삭제할 경우, 마지막 활동 날짜를 초기화하는 것이 합리적이라고 생각합니다. 그렇지 않으면 ‘최신’ 목록에 최근 활동이 없는 주제가 남아 있게 되어, 일반 사용자에게 혼란을 줄 수 있고, 그 자리에 있는 것이 어색하게 보일 수 있습니다.

동의하지 않습니다. 해당 주제가 올라간(bumped) 상태였고, 게시물이 삭제되었든 아니든 주제가 올라갔다는 사실은 변하지 않습니다.
그리고 스태프가 원한다면 토픽 렌치(topic wrench)를 사용해 bumped 날짜를 초기화하여 이 동작을 무효화할 수 있습니다.

음. 이 일이 왜 일어나지 않았는지搞清楚하려고 여기 왔는데, 이전에 여러 번 [요청](https://meta.discourse.org/t/old-topic-containing-newly-deleted-post-still-appears-at-the-top/31627)된 적이 있는 것 같습니다.
대부분의 사용 사례와 사용자들의 기대 및 이해에 비추어 볼 때, 이것이 기본값으로 설정된 것은 좋지 않다는 것이 제 의견입니다. \_bump\_의 원인이 삭제되었다면, 해당 게시글이 bump된 것으로 취급되지 않는다고 가정하는 것은 전혀 합리적입니다. 관리자로서 저는 이러한 동작을 기대합니다. 사용자가 ‘최근 활동’ 탭에서 몇 달 전의 활동이 가장 최근인 것처럼 보이는 콘텐츠를 볼 때, 제 1차적 가정은 앱에 버그가 있다는 것입니다. 세상이 끝나는 일은 아니지만, 제가 요청한 데이터를 올바르게 표시할 수 있는 앱의 신뢰도를 떨어뜨립니다. 이미 있어야 할 곳에 없는 것들을 삽입하는 것을 알고 있으므로, 없애야 할 것들을 숨기고 있을 가능성도 매우 높습니다.
‘최근 활동’ 상단에 최근 활동이 없는 주제가 보일 때, 평균적인 사용자가 '버그다’라는 가정을 제외하고 할 수 있는 다른 합리적인 가정이 있는지 알면 정말 궁금합니다.
또한 관련 질문이 하나 있습니다. 주제에 속삭임(whisper)을 하면 어떻게 되나요? bump가 되나요?

알겠습니다. 궁금한 게 있어서요, 이 결정은 의견이 다르셔서 그런 건가요, 아니면 노력 대비 보상 비율 때문인가요, 아니면 다른 이유가 있나요? 예를 들어, 게시물이 삭제되면 자동 리셋으로 범프 날짜를 초기화하는 기능을 구현한 풀 리퀘스트를 제출하면 거절될까요?
또한, 검색을 해봐도 속삭임(whisper)이 최신(Latest) 탭에 토픽을 표시하는지 여부에 대한 답을 찾을 수 없어서 간단히 테스트해봤습니다. 결론은, 아니요. 속삭임은 누구에게도 범프 날짜를 변경하지 않는 것 같습니다. 속삭임을 볼 수 있는 사용자도 마찬가지입니다.

여기서 가장 좋은 방법은 이 동작 변경을 위한 플러그인을 개발하는 것입니다. 제프는 기본값에 대해 매우 강하게 의견을 갖고 있어, 기본값을 선택 사항으로 두는 것을 원하지 않는 것 같습니다.
시간이 지나면 우리의 생각이 진화하고, 때로는 수년 후에 마음을 바꿀 수도 있습니다.
하지만… 지금 바로 동작 변경을 원하신다면 플러그인을 개발하시는 것을 권장합니다.
