Automated Signatures?

Here’s one where users can select the motorcycle model they own through a drop-down list:

Here’s where the info displays in the forum, to the side of the post (like most standard php forums):

Allowing the admin to create such custom fields (like drop-down & free text) would be nice – searchability would be a bonus but not necessary. This is the functionality I would like.

For those who dislike signatures, I’ve found many sites allow them to be turned off:

So that could be part of the plug-in if anyone is thinking about it

The way I see it there are two options of the way for us to deal with this feature request.

1. Close it, this is not going in core.
2. Move it to extensibility and allow you to create the Godzilla you know and love.
