# Automatic Email

Is there a way to automate sending email on a specific topic. For example, If I am making a post about the upcoming webinars on my community, and I want to send an email about it too. how do I do that?

You can post it in a category that you have all members watching the category. It will then send an email notification to everyone who didn’t see it online within the configurable window.

How would you ensure all users are watching a categories? By overriding their preference (oh, no…)? Or is it possible to create a category as “auto-watched”? 🤔

Yes, you would create a category and set defaults to watch it. There’s no difference between forcing them to watch a category and sending them a direct email except if they are set to watch a category they have a way to stop watching it.
