I just created a wiki post that will have many headers.

Someone pointed out that links to the header ids were broken and I realized that the anchors seem to change when new headings are added before the heading in question.

Is this really the expected behaviour?

I’d also expect header IDs to be stable. I don’t understand why the number is needed unless the text has a conflict.

Even better would be if the headers preserved across edits to the text but that is hard to accomplish with text-based editing.
