# Automatic replies with same user as topic creator fails

Using the automation plugin to add a reply to all new topics with the same user as the user that created the topic seems to fail. Utilizing another user will work correctly.

Do you see any errors in logs? anything about this user vs topic?

Thanks for replying. Nothing in the error log, should I be looking somewhere specific? Sorry but I’m a newbie to Discourse so if you point me in the right direction I can figure it out.
