For the record, I like this suggestion a lot and am kind of warm to having it as a core plugin.

```plaintext
[toc][/toc]

### I am the first heading

## I am the second big heading

and so on... 

```

This does not come up A LOT, however would be very useful for posts such as: [Setup DiscourseConnect - Official Single-Sign-On for Discourse (sso)](https://meta.discourse.org/t/official-single-sign-on-for-discourse-sso/13045) and other large wikis.
