# Back button behavior on docs

Continuing the discussion from [Discourse Docs (Documentation Management)](https://meta.discourse.org/t/discourse-docs-documentation-management/130172)

On the docs page:

1. Click a cat/tag filter
2. Go to a topic
3. Click the go back hyperlink
4. Now the tag filter is reset

I think this behavior is not expected and rather a bug?

I add an emphasis on:

1. Click the go back hyperlink

I read a bit fast and used the back button from my browser, which doesn’t trigger the bug.

You are correct, this is about the hyperlink indeed, not your built-in browser go back button, which is working fine.
