# Backup installation problem?

If you did a [standard install](https://meta.discourse.org/t/142537?silent=true), the notification email should be in your `app.yml` in ENV variable `DISCOURSE_NOTIFICATION_EMAIL`, so it should not be changed if you restore the database.
