# Backups link on dashboard should not be accessible to moderators

Continuing the discussion from [Plugins admin section shows actions not available for moderators](https://meta.discourse.org/t/plugins-admin-section-shows-actions-not-available-for-moderators/33836):

The backups link on the dashboard suffers from the same fate.

(Yep, I’m clicking through the interface after having demoted myself to moderator…)

I suspect the “upgrade” link at the top would also have this issue, had I not been up to date. Going to the `/admin/upgrade` URL as moderator renders a blank page though and not an error, so perhaps something else is happening on that page.
