After installing and activating the component remember also to update the js.search.search_google and js.search.or_search_google strings (from /admin/customize/site_texts) by replacing ‘Google’ with ‘Baidu’ or ‘百度’.

Thanks to @david for finding the workaround to make the search work on a specific site even without using the Q6 parameter which doesn’t work properly with the search terms!

Do you know if this will component will be updated or if it will just need to be removed prior to the June deadline?

I think it would be reasonable to make a Contribute > Feature request. It seems a good idea for the admin/user to set up their preferred search engine.

Fixing the TC would require a plugin outlet. If the team is okay with it, I can make a PR to add one.
