# Banner overlap in Forum

Hey guys!
When using a new banner in the forum there is a weird overlap with the old one. I guess I did something wrong. Does anyone have a good step-by-step instruction on how to set the forum banner properly without keeping the old one?
I would really appreciate your help 🙂

Ah I see, so are you trying to remove the old banner? I assume you created the old banner by adding custom code in `admin > customize`? You should be able to go to your current theme, click `Edit CSS/HTML` and delete what was added there.
