Hello

Thank you for your answer

How can I practice the change on the banner on Github?

Best regards

Yves

After you’ve forked it, just click on the pencil icon at the top right to edit the HTML file with the new texts and elements. On CSS it is enough to change the variables at the beginning of the file

Excuse me, my english is poor…
What do you mean with : “After you’ve forked it”
I don’t find the translation in french.

Salut @Yves_Lauzin

On trouve un guide pratique à Forking Projects · GitHub Guides
Je dois l’apprendre, moi aussi! On peut s’aider en français si vous voulez, par des messages personnels.

Why you are doing this?

You need only to add

.anon .banner-box {
    display:none;
}

to hide the banner for anon users
and not

As anon user:

I’ve tried to change the icon, but unfortunately, it does not work. What I’m doing wrong?

<div class="x-icon"><svg class="fa d-icon d-icon-user-shield svg-icon svg-node" aria-hidden="true"><use xlink:href="#user-shield"></use></svg></div>

Did you add the user-shield icon in the site setting svg icon subset?

This code is right to do what you want,

.anon .banner-box {
    display: block;
}
.banner-box {
    display: none;
}

Did you do tests in incognito mode to avoid cache problems?

It’s the same code what I see in the posts above…Is your site private or public? Can you share a link?

Same thing occurred to me yesterday after updating discourse. All code modifications/updates that were working properly are still present, but now nothing will display regardless of a user being logged in or logged out. Code has been rechecked multiple times and it’s still occurring.
