I just came across another instance of Discourse-Gitlab siloing being a problem: > **[Advertising not allowed](https://forum.f-droid.org/t/advertising-not-allowed/34802)** > > Recently it is seen a lot of users create an account and start advertising their apps. F-Droid is lenient, but advertising is not... tl;dr because the F-Droid Discourse is siloed from the F-Droid Gitlab, people on the Discourse do not have convenient access to RFPs or MRs, and consequently people feel inclined to created Discourse Topics for Gitlab MRs, but this is seen as spam. Bidirectional sync between Discourse and Gitlab would allow F-Droid Discourse users convenient access to the F-Droid Gitlab that would not be perceived as spam.
