# Big White Gap at Footer after updating to latest Discourse version

The latest discourse update to version **v1.3.0.beta2 +1** introduced a big white gap at the footer of the Forum. This gap looks like a design mistake or the introduction of an unwanted div section as highlighted in the image below

I am experiencing this problem on all my pages at [http://ask.mybloggertricks.com/](http://ask.mybloggertricks.com/), I don’t want to use the display:none property to hide this “user-card” ID because I feel it has some important purpose. Kindly share a quick fix for this problem. Is this some design flaw on all forums or something wrong on my forum?
**Update:**
The big gap bug is now fixed after upgrading to latest version of Discourse!

just go straight to /admin/upgrade and you’ll see if you have an upgrade available.

@zogstrip I am now at **v1.3.0.beta2 +16** , its time for you to upgrade 😉
**Update:**
The big gap bug is now fixed after upgrading to latest version but I wonder why didn’t I get notification for the latest available discourse version and instead I had to manually try the method proposed by @tobiaseigen

That’s because it’s not a new version per say. It’s “bleeding edge”. It’s our development branch. We usually release a new beta every other week.
