# Blocking images

Hi,
Say that a user doesn’t want to see images posted by other users. Is there an option to view posts as text only?
We have a support forum in which users post images, sometimes these images are triggering for certain users. Just wanted to know if there is a way to block images from being displayed while browsing.

There is no such option out of the box, but sounds like something simple that could be built as either a filter on the user browser extensions or as a Discourse #Customization > Theme component if you think this is something that would be used by more than one person.

Yes, it would be as an option for everyone. a sort of “Disable Images” option in the personal preference.
Good to know and we’ll have to evaluate if we really need the option.
