British Terms of Service

(Daniel Hollands) #1

I was wondering if anyone had any terms of service suitable for a British sites?

I’m asking because I’ve just had a user point out that it currently says:

any access to or use of the Website will be governed by the laws of the state of California, U.S.A

which isn’t relevant for a site aimed at Brits.

Thank you.

Since the traduction for British English and American English are the same, I think you have to edit it yourself

There’s a lot of good TOS, but generaly there’s no big change

It’s using the default WordPress ToS which is creative commons. If you have edits to make it more suitable for the UK please do share here for everyone!

I certainly don’t have any problem with sharing any edits - my problem is, seeing as I’m not a lawyer, I don’t know what it should be changed to.

I wonder if a bunch of British forum owners might be interested in getting together and working out what is needed?
