Bug? Automatically unpin topics when the user reaches the bottom

(Tom Hsiung) #1

What’s the difference between:

1.Automatically unpin topics when the user reaches the bottom
2.Automatically unpin topics when the user reaches the bottom by default

in the admin setting?

A Bug: I turn off the Automatically unpin topics when the user reaches the bottom by default, while I keep the automatically unpin topics when the user reaches the bottom enabled. And I turn off the automatically unpin topics when I reach the bottom in the interface of user profile. But the globally pined thread still get unpined automatically.

Setting :two: is the default for setting :one: for new users: Whenever a user account is created, that user’s preference is set to whatever you’ve set as a default in the admin panel. This is true for all settings in the Default settings, and changes to these settings to not applied retroactively.

Was the topic still pinned for that user when you disabled this option?

It appears that there is a delay between the disabling of automatical unpin and the new setting taking effect.

Maybe it requires a page reload to take effect?
