Today I noticed that I have a bug reporter badge that doesn’t seem to be connected to a post.

It took me a while to understand that it was probably granted for a [post](https://meta.discourse.org/t/in-chat-moderators-group-appears-to-have-22-members-when-it-only-has-8/349799/5) that was merged into another topic.

While I was investigating, I noticed lots of badges that seem not to be connected to a post.

They all have in common that they were granted during the time when the badge was broken, and they only affect users who received their first bug reporter badge. If I remember correctly, those users were granted the badge while it was broken. Is it possible they received the badge a second time during the backfill?

Not sure if it’s worth cleaning this up, but I thought it would be helpful to have a record when someone wonders why they didn’t receive “Tester” even though they have 10 “bug reporter” badges.
