# Bug reporter badge not granted

I have the impression that the bug reporter badge is no longer granted to users who already received it before.
At first, I thought it was broken in general, but the badge is still granted to some users [bug reporter badge](https://meta.discourse.org/badges/114/bug-reporter).
But users who received it before didn’t get it recently. For example, the last time [Richard received the badge](https://meta.discourse.org/badges/114/bug-reporter?username=rgj) was in August, but I think he should have received one for [PG13 compatibility issue 🔥](https://meta.discourse.org/t/pg13-compatibility-issue/331068)

I get this too. For example my latest bug [report](https://meta.discourse.org/t/expanding-topic-actions-displays-who-liked-the-posts-but-nobody-has-liked-it/355225) was on the 1st of March and was liked by a team member yet the last time I got the bug reporter badge, it was the 29th April 2024.

Looks like it was operator error in this case. The `query targets posts` setting was unticked last fall, according to the staff action log. Now we’ve ticked it again and I’m told the query will now backfill.
Please check your badges in the next 24 hours and let us know if they start showing up!
