많은 면에서 우리 회사는 코로나19 팬데믹에 잘 대비되어 있는 것처럼 보였다. 우리는 이미 100% 원격 근무를 하고 있었으며, 여러 시간대와 국가에 걸쳐 분산되어 있었다. 우리는 디스코스(Discourse!)와 같은 도구를 비동기적으로 사용해 효과적으로 소통하고 일하는 법을 배웠다. 하지만 막상 위기가 닥치자 그다지 도움이 되지 않았다. 우리 직원들도 다른 누구와 마찬가지로 바이러스로 인해 부정적인 영향을 받았다.
