# Button to dismiss notifications

Means: A little X, a button or something similar to dismiss notifications.

Especially these 5-6 “First achievements” are quite annoying imo.

Already exists. Click on view older notifications… button is on the right hand side.

Well that’s… not intuitive at all.

New users would definitely get confused by this.

I don’t think many new users share your opinion that a few badge notifications are “quite annoying”.

The initial badge notification teach users how to use the system, “what is quoting”, “editing is important” and so on. If they click on the badge name the notification goes white. I don’t see a need to add an there.

Facebook actually does this really well with a “Read” icon/button to mark the notification as read, and optionally a “Turn Off” icon/button to disable that type of notification in the future.
