# Can Discourse Integrate with Free Slack?

I’m part of a large community that is looking to supplement the existing free Slack.
Is it possible to integrate with a _free_ Slack, or is that only possible with paid ones?
I’m thinking a Discourse+Slack combination will be perfect for so many members of our community.

The chat integration plugin should work just fine with Slack’s free tier. You can find instructions for setting it up here:
