# Can I access my Discourse forum database?

I am creating my website, and I want to extract data from my forum database…  
I as I can access my database?

Yes, discourse has decent database export, a powerful [data explorer](https://meta.discourse.org/t/data-explorer-plugin/32566), and can be queried at the command line for pretty much anything else you might need.

FYI - it’s pretty easy to get answers about stuff like this here by using the search.
