# Can i change Lets Encrypt to EssentialSSL / Wildcard SLL

Can I change this?
During the installation I chose to create ssl using lets encrypt.
Can I change it because I bought EssentialSSL ?
How to do it?

There is this topic [Allow SSL / HTTPS for your Discourse Docker setup](https://meta.discourse.org/t/advanced-setup-only-allowing-ssl-https-for-your-discourse-docker-setup/13847). Note that it’s much harder to configure, requires updating the certificate every time it expires and has no advantages.

You can, but there’s little good reason to want to.
Let’s encrypt will give you perpetual SSL with zero maintenance.
What possible advantage is there over that?
