# Can I change which account sends the "Welcome To Discourse" message?

When setting up Discourse, I set DISCOURSE\_DEVELOPER\_EMAILS to my own email address. It was my understanding that this was just to bootstrap the forum with an initial admin user.
Now, it seems that it’s my account that is sending new users the “Welcome To Discourse” PM. Is there a way to set which account will send those messages? I haven’t been able to find anything in the admin settings.

Yep, the “site contact username” sends those messages.
> A valid staff username to send all automated private messages from. If left blank the default System account will be used.
