# Can I create a link to subscribe to a category?

Hi,
We’re planning a ‘daily challenge’ activity on our forum. Every day we’ll post a new topic with instructions for that day’s activity and we’d like to encourage participants to subscribe to ‘Watch First Post’ so they’ll get a daily reminder.
Instead of explaining to them how to subscribe to a category (which, granted, has the effect of educating them on how to use the forum), I’d like to give them a link to subscribe directly. Is that possible?

I think the best you could do here without a plugin/theme-component is a link to `/my/preferences/categories`.
