# Can I edit the stylesheet for email notifications?

I’ve edited our CSS to make the background of PMs visually distinct from regular topics:

I’m not sure if this is an excellent or terrible idea just yet.

However, I would like to make the background consistent for PMs sent by email as well. Is this doable?

That’s a great idea. Maybe it eventually helps people understand when they’re replying in public and when they’re replying in private…

This is still not doable, but we are considering slotting some improvements here for 2.4
