# Can I embed instagram video into a post?

How can we embed an Instagram video directly in a post?

When I copy/paste the Instagram embeded code I get a link which leads to the video page but I’d like to get the video directly in the post. Would it be possible?

Exemple below:

You can’t do it in one click at the moment but you can find the direct link and post it, it should work fine

The easiest way is to use a website like this one : [https://www.w3toys.com/video/](https://www.w3toys.com/video/)

Instead of downloading the video, you can copy the link

I’m not a onebox specialist, but I think they (sometimes) depend of the API from the app developpers.

Twitter updated their API a few times lately (to integrate images in a tweet, then the new 280 characters limit), so maybe Instagram will do the same one day for the videos

But it may be a choice from Discourse too, I’m not really sure on this one
