# Can I install wp-discourse without composer

Is there a way to install wp-discourse without composer? I don’t really have much else to say.

Download it [https://github.com/discourse/wp-discourse/archive/master.zip](https://github.com/discourse/wp-discourse/archive/master.zip) and install it like any normal Wordpress plugin but why not composer?

We’ve already installed WordPress without composer.

That’s fine, just make sure the files end up in your plugins directory. You can do what @thangngoc89 said, or you can download specific releases from [WP Discourse – WordPress plugin | WordPress.org](https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-discourse/)
