No, there is no user setting for this.
If you really want to hide them, you can use something like Greasemonkey or an adblocker to insert CSS that hides them, though.
So I wanted to say “Thanks”, but this wants me to spend more than 20 characters or use Like button. Well, I don’t like the answer frankly and it’s not a solution as well.
