# Can it be made easier to amend Category Watching/Normal/Muted for Groups, as an admin?

While managing Discourse forums with large numbers of Groups and complex ‘See/Reply/Create’ rules, I can easily see and amend these rules in the Category admin settings:

I also quite often use the Group level tools to set a default Watching/WFP/Normal/Muted notification status for that group, but there is no comparable single place I can view this information for a particular Category. This means if I want to check the notification defaults for that category across a few Groups I have to go to each group and check.

I just wondered if this user need resonated with anyone else and whether there would be a way for existing defaults on Watch/Mute defaults would be possible to view in the Category settings, perhaps alongside that “See/Reply/Create” matrix.

I know these are just _defaults_ and may not reflect users’ actual settings because each user can override the setting, but I wondered if anyone else thought this should be more easy to visualise. _Editing_ those defaults is probably best left where it is, in the Group management settings, owing to the complexity of the settings.
