# Can not change category description

After upgrading to discourse 1.3 I can’t edit the category descritpion.

What actually happens when you click that button? It should take you to the Description topic.

It is working on my instance, but to be fair I’m running v1.4.0.beta1

Yes, It take me to the About topic. But the content is not the same as the short description on my previous screen shot.

I’m jealous. I’m testing with v1.3.0.beta11 +51 and I just fetched Master a short while ago.

I don’t even have a “description” button. The new Category gets created with the boilerplate About “edit this post”

I have just upgraded my version to `v1.3.0.beta11 +51` the previous one was a `v1.2.xxxx`

The category description is the first paragraph (¶) of the topic it takes you to.

Edting and saving the topic solved my problem. Not sure why the description and the related topic where out of sync.
