# 更新时可以移除过时的翻译吗？

有时添加新功能时会编辑现有文本。问题在于，只有英文文本会更新，而翻译会一直过时，直到下一次通常在周二发生的 Crowdin 定期合并。  
这会造成延迟：如果某个功能在周三合并，并且有人不久后更新了他们的论坛，他们将看到新功能但看不到更新后的文本——除非他们的界面是英文的。这种不匹配可能会非常令人困惑。  
最近的一个例子是可主题化的站点设置，它是在周三合并的。在这种情况下，“themes”页面的描述得到了扩展，并将“Theme settings”更改为“Custom theme settings”。在英文中，此更改有助于用户找到配置这些设置的新位置。但在德语中，我看不到。

我必须等待 Crowdin 翻译更新——然后还取决于我的站点何时更新。因此，在我获得更新的文本之前，还需要更长的时间。  
在这种特定情况下，“仅仅”是一些缺失的指导。但有时文本的含义会完全改变，或者占位符被更改，甚至可能导致显示错误。  
是否可以在修改文本字符串时，在功能的拉取请求中移除过时的翻译？这样，用户将回退到更新的英文版本，而不是看到过时或误导性的翻译。  
我认为在大多数情况下，当前的英文字符串比我首选语言的过时翻译更有帮助。
