# Can someone tell me if this is a plugin or a theme component? Why didn’t I find it

I don’t believe that is. It’s the default message shown to logged out users who have been browsing for a while.

This isn’t a plugin or theme component — it’s actually built-in core functionality of Discourse. When a visitor isn’t logged in and has browsed for a bit, the login/signup prompt is automatically shown. You don’t need to install anything extra — just make sure the **Enable Signup CTA** (“enable\_signup\_cta”) site setting is turned on.

While it’s a core feature, there is a component to override the [requirements](https://meta.discourse.org/t/showing-signup-cta-quickly/137016/4) of when the banner is shown.
