I merged an upcoming change for this today, and enabled it on Meta

Category hashtag floating cards and subcategory hashtag display improvements

We are making some changes and improvements to how subcategory hashtags display per Can we make inline links to subcategories more concise?, and at the same time are adding the same floating card functionality that you already see for user mentions e.g. if you click on @martin . This card will show the category title, icon/emoji, description, as well as links to any parent categories. My brain wants/expects to (on mobile) swipe (back and forth, horizontally) or (on desktop) click (as a series of slides) among these 3 cards.

And (as an admin) I always want things that are clickable to be optionally hoverable.

And, in the composer, a way to designate any list of internal links (but just the content area of Topics and Posts) to be displayed in sequential order as a series of slides (appearing both inline and pop up) just as we already create inline image slideshows.
