# Cannot disable read-only mode on Free Plan

I am unable to disable read-only mode on my forum. IIRC I enabled it to take a backup, but now I cannot get rid of it: The ‘Disable read-only’ button in Admin \> Backups changes to ‘Enable read-only’ when clicked, but upon reloading, the button returns to its original state and the site is still in read-only mode.

I also tried enabling after disabling and disabling again, but to no avail.

I have not received any emails of inactivity of my forum, so I don’t think that is the reason.
