# Cannot edit post with a poll

Both moderators and staff on our forum cannot edit a post that contains a poll that was created several days ago - we always get the following error: ‘You cannot change a poll after the first 5 minutes’.
We’re on the latest build.
Might be a regression of this issue?

Could you give an example when this is happening? I’m asking this because I can edit the post, but not the poll, and this is the expected behaviour (for admin and moderators).

Hey Bianca!
Sure, we’re trying to edit [this post](https://blenderartists.org/t/challenge-806-voting-closed/1136926) which, I admit, is rather long. My moderator is trying to insert a graphic at the very top, and in my own tests it also fails to save if I make other changes, like adding a line to the bottom. We’re not making any changes to the poll itself though.

Follow-up: my moderator just posted this:
> I just figured it out. It seems that the editing block is only engaged when the poll is _closed_ . If I temporarily re-open the poll, I can edit the post without any issue at all.
