I feel completely daft asking this, but I’ve spent the last 40 minutes looking (including the AI-suggested topics). It seems I can go to myforum/tags, and then to myforum/tag\_groups, but once I’m there there’s no wrench or anything, or any way I can see to access tag synonyms or merge tags? ![Screenshot 2026-08-27 164100](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/meta/original/4X/c/f/4/cf4439a9e72817851e4626b6aa139ef71bba3095.png) I’m sure I’m missing something, but I can’t see the woods for the trees now! ---

You need to visit the tag you want to add synonyms to. So when you are at `/tags` click the tag so you see the topic list filtered for that tag. Just adding that I also encountered the same situation, more than once 😃 Perhaps it could be taken into account in some UX-focused style re-structuring. It’s one of the features that hasn’t been updated to Discourse’s new general style. ---

Thanks @Moin, I wouldn’t have found that in a week of looking! 😄 I agree @satonotdead, perhaps needs a bit of a UX tweak to bring it in line with the updated general style 👍 ---

I am curious: how do you edit a category? I usually use kind of the same steps for that (visiting the category and using the wrench button) ---

which style update do you mean that isn’t present here? I think the form positioning yes, but the button location is still the same for categories too ---

I think something like the new categories page in the admin area might be helpful for tags as well. I like the concept that stuff staff has to configure is available in the admin area. ---

By the way, I wrote this also thinking about the badges section: they are missing the edit/admin icon to access their settings.
