# Cannot mark reply as "solution" after merger

Hi lovely people,
I have the following problem:
snippet as proof.
I merged 2 topics into each other as part of a huge clean up. The reply I’m trying to mark as “solution” invokes the response above.
I can mark other replies in the topic as solution, including other comments from the reply owner. Just not this one.
In what direction should I look?

My guess is since it’s a merged reply (and quite recently), I have to wait the 7 day window (stuff get’s auto deleted here after a merge, after that window).

No, a time window shouldn’t affect this. That error is also just the browser reporting what the server says, not anything specific.
Do you see anything in /logs?

Hi @Silas-Inservio-Pax I’m having a look into this now for you. The problem here is that in the database there is already a solved record for this post [[UserImposed] My daily activity don't reset after i changed my PC Time - #66 by Chemile0n - Wicked Bug Reporting - No Rest For The Wicked](https://forum.norestforthewicked.com/t/userimposed-my-daily-activity-dont-reset-after-i-changed-my-pc-time/6927/66?u=martin) in the _old_ topic that I assume you merged from.
I’ve fixed this up for you (you should be able to mark this post as solved now) and we will investigate to see if there is a bug fix we can do to prevent this happening in future.

Ah thank you! That makes sense although of course shouldn’t happen. I’ve had this multiple times now and decided yesterday to finally investigate it 🙂
I guess for the immediate future, I will need to clear up the marked solution first before merging?
Thank you so much for your help! I didn’t realise you guys could just check stuff like that.
I will consider this issue resolved for my uses!

Hi Silas, this should now be fixed with [this commit](https://github.com/discourse/discourse/commit/d73aaabaa0283f0e9aea455a717369e62f257737) and deployed to your site already.
