# Cannot post or view profile

I am trying to create topics, post replies, and view my own profile. But I am getting a 500 error. However, if I am not logged in I can view my profile by directly putting in the URL e.g. [discourse\_address]/u/[my\_username]
I am looking at the logs but cannot find anything. Is there a specific place I can look to fix this issue.
My discourse version is 2.5.0.

I would really suggest you upgrade your version to 2.8

would need to know the log entries before the 500 error

I can only find Rails/Unicorn logs and NGINX logs. Redis and PostgreSQL logs aren’t present.
I am not seeing anything suspicious in the available logs.
