Can't collapse expanded reply when filtering topic

Hi, I recently found a bug on our forum, The Hopscotch Forum. It’s also an issue on meta. I don’t know how to describe it, but you should understand after looking through the steps to reproduce it.

Steps To Reproduce:

  1. Find (or make) a post that is replying to the post directly before it.
    Example:

  2. Tap the profile picture of the person who made the post, then tap the button that says "__ posts in topic.

  3. Tap the button that an arrow was pointing to in the last picture, then tap the “view __ hidden replies” button above the post in question. This is what you should see:

I’ve come across this also, it’s a bit annoying when I’m trying to find an earlier post.

Hmm you’ll have to click on

to hide it again.

The problem is…the button isn’t there. That’s the bug.

The bug here is rather subtle, we suppress “in reply to” when the reply is directly above.

However, once you collapse the stream it is not detecting that a reply is directly above correctly and showing the “in reply to” when, in fact, it should not. If you expand it and then expand the stream you can not make it go away.

Super duper duper edge casey, but a legit issue.
