# Can't delete a tag group if it has no member

If a tag group has no tags in it, it can’t be deleted. To delete it, you have to add a tag first.

You probably can’t create a tag group with no members unless you use the api.

So you did it via the API? Because you can’t do it normally. Use your solution in that case then.

Yup. And that’s what I thought. (It wasn’t me. It was a client. 🙂)
