Can't find my header custom code

(Susan Spencer) #1

Hey I wanted to update our menu:

Went to Admin, Customize, Header, Edit CSS/HTML, my code wasn’t there, I checked everywhere under customization, same thing, could not find the menu code:

Did you try clicking “only show overridden” on the right?

(Susan Spencer) #3

Ah.
That fixed it.
What does ‘only show overridden’ mean? There’s no tooltip.
Is ‘overridden’ slang for something else?

(Sam Saffron) #4

Sorry, it is a techy word… short for “you overrode these fields” or “you changed these fields”

(Susan Spencer) #5

Do you think it would be better to change it to ‘Show my most recent changes or updates’?

(Jeff Atwood) #6

It’s not “most recent” it is “anything I’ve changed from the default”, though.

(Susan Spencer) #7

‘Show only overridden’ - The displayed content is reduced to showing only the overridden content.

Since no content was displayed, how can it be reduced to show only the overwritten values?
How about ‘Show my customization code’?

Tech slang is like that, it’s only meaningful within a certain community.
