# Can't go back from creating a new message to create a new topic in editor

in the editor if you select “new message”, you can’t undo it! as the selector is vanished. perhaps a #Contribute > UX bug.

Are you using a custom theme/component?

Here on meta for me I see this when starting a new message:

I’m seeing this on Meta 🙂 so any theme that is active on Meta, should be on for me. simple theme (the default) is on.

I guess that’s because you have tested it in the reply window. it’s working perfect for me for the reply as well.

**may you test this again via the “create a topic button” in the homepage?**

I can reproduce this with the steps you suggested. Definitely something I’ll take a look at.
