# Can't link emails

Emails aren’t automatically picked up - and if I type [mailto:asdf@asdf.com](mailto:asdf@asdf.com) , it changes to [http://mailto](http://mailto): and fails.
I understand you can get bots, but in our FAQ I’m trying to post our generic support email [genericemail@oursite.com](mailto:genericemail@oursite.com)
How can I do this to include a link?

You can try writing out the link yourself and see if that works:
`[asdf@asdf.com](mailto:asdf@asdf.com)`
